Stay stylish and cool in the heat by keeping your hair out of your face with a bandana. You can wear your bandana in a variety of styles. Alternately, use your bandana instead of a headband.
As a Headband
Lay the bandana flat with a corner pointed upward; fold that corner to the bottom corner. Start at the large fold at the top and fold the bandana downward in 1 1/2- to 2-inch segments until you run out of bandana. Then wrap the bandana around your head as a headband.

With a Ponytail

Tie your hair in a ponytail or a bun. Holding each end of the bandana, take the middle of the bandana and wrap it under the nape of your neck and securely wrap the rest of it around your head. Adjust the bandana to the top of your head at the place where you want the knot; then tie a double knot in that spot.

If you don’t want the knot to show on the top of your head, hold onto each of the bandana ends and wrap the middle of it at the top of your head. Secure the bandana with a double knot at the nape of your neck.

Let Your Hair Down

Allow your hair to fall to its natural part, and tie your hair back into a low ponytail. Holding onto each end of the bandana, wrap it around your head, making sure to place it under the ponytail. Double knot the bandana at the top of the head and tuck in the ends behind the bandana headband. Once you have secured your bandana, untie your ponytail and let down your hair.

Braided Style

Pull all of your hair to one side, and place the bandana on top of your head as if it were a headband. Pull the top side of the bandana longer than the other side and add it to an outside section of the hair. Section the rest of your hair to three equal sections and add the other end of the bandana to the section closest to your neck. Braid the three sections and secure them with a ponytail elastic band.

All-Up Tucking Style

With your hair down, take the bandana and wrap it on top of your head like a headband, pulling the ends toward the back bottom of your head. Double knot the bandana at the back of your head and tuck the ends into the bandana. Starting with the hair closest to your face, pull segments of your hair and tuck them into the back of the bandana. Keep tucking all of your hair until you don’t have hair left to tuck. If any stray hairs remain, you can use bobby pins to pin them into place.
